It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves
be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1
Welcome to my journey of Being Set Free (and hopefully, yours, too)!

I am simply delighted you are here.

My path to freedom was difficult, painful, and long, spanning five decades... yes, DECADES! My prayer is that your journey will not take as long as mine but if it already has, then I love you that much more, Precious One, for just maybe we are kindred spirits.

For many years, I was held captive by self-loathing, depression, and so little self-esteem it led to years of addiction. My early childhood was contaminated by sexual abuse at the hands of a close family member and in my teenage years I found myself in a physically and mentally abusive relationship with two babies on my hip.
Blessedly, I was rescued at the tender age of eighteen by a young man who loved me (and my children) dearly, though it would take me almost a lifetime to reciprocate this love. I sincerely did not understand what love was or how to show it to another person. Thankfully, God showed me how to love him long before my loving husband went home to be with our Lord.

I know about sexual abuse, I suffered it.

I know about physical abuse, I endured it.

I know about addiction, I overcame it!

I sincerely pray you will find rays of hope in these writings that lead you down your own journey of healing, recovery, and ultimately... freedom. Although our initial paths may not have been the same, the final path, the one that leads us out of bondage and into freedom, is very much the same. The only path to true freedom is the one set before us by Jesus Christ, our Savior. He taught me what pure love is all about, He taught me what having a Father is supposed to be. And He taught me the only path that leads to authentic happiness is the one we walk in relationship with Him.
May our Lord and Savior, Yeshua (Jesus), find you where you are right now and pour His love into your heart and soul.
Again, welcome, Precious One... welcome!
